Taylor Empey | Co-Owner, Certified Fitness Trainer
& Nutrition Specialist

Experience: 9 years
Specializations: 1-On-1 Training, Muscle Building, Fat Loss, Lifestyle Change, Strength Training, & Mobility.
Taylor's passion for fitness began when he started training in Taekwondo in 2008. Since then he has trained in 8 martial arts and self-defense styles. Taylor achieved his 1st degree black belt six years later.
In 2010 Taylor began his personal training career in health and fitness and he now holds multiple nationally accredited certifications and has expertise in Kinesiology and Nutrition Science.
Taylor is a featured contributing member of the Men's Health Magazine Fitness Council. He was also the head trainer for Season 2 of The Younger You 12 Week Challenge on the ABC network. He has been considered for participation as a trainer on the Fit2Fat2Fit television program on the A&E network. He has been featured in Healthy Magazine, Salt Lake Magazine, he is a local preferred trainer on MaxMuscle.com and has appeared on HealthWarrior.com.
Taylor has worked with clients from all walks of life; men, women, young, middle-aged, advanced-aged, athletes, average joes and janes, people with injuries, and women pre/intra/post pregnancy.
Taylor specializes in helping young to middle-aged men build lean muscle, increase their overall performance, burn fat, and get lean.
Cori Sterling | Co-Owner, Certified Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach
Certifications: NASM - CPT
Experience: 12 years
Specializations: Group Training, Muscle Building, Fat Loss, CrossFit, Bodybuilding & Competition Prep.
Cori is a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), an NCCA accredited training organization.
Cori has over 10 years of personal training experience in the fitness industry and has worked with a variety of clients including men, women, pregnancy, as well as figure and fitness competitors.
Cori works with clients of all ages and fitness levels, but she specializes in helping middle aged men and women burn fat and get the lean sexy bodies they want!
Emanuel Balmus | Certified Personal Trainer
Certifications: MS, ACSM-CPT, CrossFit Level I
Experience: 10 years
Specializations: Group Training, CrossFit, Muscle Building, Fat Loss, Athletic Training, Kickboxing & Kyokushinkai Karate.
Emanuel is 100% sure that courage, motivation, fearlessness and dedication are the key to any success. No one should be afraid of downfalls! Our failures are what shape us into better versions of ourselves!
Being happy and healthy should be everybody’s first responsibility. Emanuel has been coaching in fitness since he was 18 years old beginning in the martial arts industry alongside his coaches. He himself is an athlete and a multi-sport enthusiast; he loves snowboarding, trail running, skydiving and paragliding (which is his number one favorite outdoor activity). Paragliding has always been his best friend. He considers it a healthy way for creating great friendships and communities.
He also played volleyball from the age of 13 for about 4 years. At the age of 16, Emanuel started Kyokushin Karate along with kickboxing and traditional boxing. He basically started working out for developing his physical condition ever since.
Besides working out for himself, he now loves helping others reach their own personal goals and their physical and mental potential.
During recent years, Emanuel has had a great chance to train a large variety of people. From kids, special needs individuals, elderly clients, and athletes like runners, triathletes, skiers, snowboarders and combat athletes.
Jennifer Ford | Certified Personal Trainer
Certifications: AAS Exercise Science, ACSM-CPT FMS Level I
Experience: 5 years
Specializations: Group Training, Individual Training, Functional Movement, Fat Loss, Muscle Building & Body Sculpting.
Jennifer has a degree in Exercise Science and is Nationally Certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-CPT), a National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited organization. She is also certified in the Functional Movement Screen, FMS Level 1 through the Functional Movement Screen organization.
Jennifer has over 5 years of experience in the fitness industry and has worked with a variety of clients including youth, college athletes, men, women, and aging populations.
Jennifer specializes in functional movement, assisting clients with proper mobility, range of motion, and fundamental exercise training. She has expertise in kinesiology and fitness behavior modification. She works with clients of all fitness levels to help them attain their fitness and healthy lifestyle goals.
Su Armitage | Trainer in Training
Certifications: ACSM-CPT (in training)
Experience: 1 year
Specializations: Functional Fitness with Advanced Age Clients
Su was first introduced to personal training when she initially hired and worked with Taylor for a number of years, but now she has developed such a love and passion for fitness and helping others she is working towards her very own personal training certification through the American College of Sports Medicine!
Su is eager to learn and has already begun a shadowing internship and she works as our Director of Client Relations/Admin.
Su has an amazing set of skills, she pays extreme attention to detail and she is very organized. Adding her skillset to the team has helped IAF to fulfill our mission and stick to our core values!
